The Corporation of Dún Laoghaire was a local authority in County Dublin, in the Ireland from 1930 to 1994, covering the municipal borough of Dún Laoghaire. Dún Laoghaire was a county borough in all but name, as Dublin County Council had no jurisdiction in the area.
The corporation was formed by Section 3 of the Local Government Act (Dublin) 1930 from the four Urban Districts of Dún Laoghaire, Blackrock, Dalkey, and Killiney and Ballybrack. Plans to merge these coastal authorities were first made in 1903, a bill to effect this was being drawn up in 1924, but this was abandoned when the Government of Ireland proposed their own legislation to reorganise local government in County Dublin.
Under the Local Government (Dublin) Act, 1993, Dublin County Council was divided in three. The Corporation of Dún Laoghaire was abolished and its powers transferred to the new Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown County Council. This act took effect in 1994. The Dún Laoghaire Vocational Education Committee, originally created for the Borough of Dún Laoghaire, remained in existence until 2013.
