Coronon is barangay of Santa Cruz, Davao del Sur, Philippines. It is on the coast of Mindanao. Coronon's barangay captain is Proceso Gido II (Jun Gido). Coronon is bordered next to the Mt. Apo Natural Park Area.

Geography
Coronon contains the Coronon River, Coronon River II and the Coronon River III.
Climate
Coronon is blessed with a favorable climate all year round characterized by wet and dry seasons. It is inside the typhoon belt. Generally the months of November to April are dry periods. Wet season occurs from May to October. This type of climate is observable in the plain and coastal areas. In the mountainous barangays, the fourth type of climate is consistently experienced. Rainfall is more or less evenly distributed throughout the year. Most often in Coronon, heavy downpour occurs every afternoon while in the morning the sun shines.
Using temperature and rainfall as bases, the climate of the barangay can be divided into two major seasons: (1) the rainy season, from June to November; and (2) the dry season, from December to May. The dry season may be subdivided further into (a) the cool dry season, from December to February; and (b) the hot dry season, from March to May.
Languages
The languages spoken in Coronon is Tagalog, Cebuano, Mansakan and English.
Religion
The largest religious group is Roman Catholic, comprising 90 percent of the population. Other Christian groups, the Iglesia Ni Cristo (Church of Christ) (including Evangelicals, the Jesus Miracle Crusade and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormons) comprises eight percent. Seventh-day Adventists and Baptists are other Christian denominations. The remainder belong to non-Christian faiths (Islam, Buddhism and animism) comprises two percent.
The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Davao is the main metropolitan see of the Roman Catholic Church in southern Coronon. It comprises the barangay of Coronon. Archbishop Romulo Valles of the Archdiocese of Davao, appointed on January 1, 2014, by Pope Benedict XVI, took office on January 9, 2014, at San Pedro Cathedral. Saint Peter, locally known as San Pedro, is the patron saint of the barangay.
Transportation
Air and water transport is accessible in the area through the international airports and sea ports in Davao City and General Santos City.
Land
Jeepneys and buses are widely used in and out of the barangay.
Air
There is no airport in Coronon so the residents must use Davao International Airport in the north.
Resources
Agriculture... Among agriculture crops, coconut leads in production followed by banana and sugarcane. Other major crops are corn, coffee and vegetables. The barangay also produces high value fruits like mango, lanzones and durian. Cattle leads in livestock production.
Fisheries... The 24-kilometer long coastline of Coronon which forms part of the Davao Gulf provides a rich fishing grounds and is suitable for aquaculture.
Mineral... Deposits of sulfur ore, rock phosphate, guano, limestone and cement raw materials were also traced but still have to be tapped for commercial and industrial uses.
Forestry... Tropical evergreen and other timber cover the vast timberland and forest area. Rattan, bamboo and other vines are also in abundance.
