Coronation of Ardashir II is a rock relief that was carved between 379 and 383 by Ardashir II, the then Shahanshah of the Sasanian Empire. The rock relief is located in Taq-e Bostan in today Iran. In this rock relief, Ardashir II receives a kingship circle from Ahura Mazda. Mithra is standing in the left side of Ardashir and holds a Barsom, but some scholars believe that it is the figure of Zoroaster, not Mithra, because there's a halo around the head of this figure which only belongs to Zoroaster. Ardashir II is depicted with kingship symbols from 4th AD. The clothing of Mithra (or Zoroaster) is same as the clothing of Ahura Mazda. Ardashir and Ahura Mazda have put their feet on the body of a defeated Kushanian king. There's a Niloofar flower under Mithra's feet.
