History

Corning was laid out in 1868. A post office called Coring has been in operation since 1868.

The village's St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.

Geography

Corning is located at 40°14′57″N 95°27′16″W (40.249107, -95.454422).

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.11 square miles (0.28 km2), all of it land.
