Cord Hermann Johann Tietjen (10 November 1914 – 18 June 2005) was a highly decorated Hauptmann in the Fallschirmjager during World War II. He was also a recipient of the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross. The Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross was awarded to recognise extreme battlefield bravery or successful military leadership. Tietjen was captured in 1942 by British forces and was held until 1947.
