Contactizer Pro was a contact manager, task manager, event manager, communication manager and project manager program developed exclusively for Mac OS X, in Cocoa.

Contactizer Pro groups the features of the Apple Address Book and Apple iCal in a unique application. It is based on the database used by Apple Address Book and thus is automatically synchronized with the entire Mac OS X contacts database used in Mail, iChat, iCal and many other applications. Tasks and events can be synced with .Mac, iCal and devices via iSync or iPhone via iTunes.

Contactizer supports some Mac OS technologies, such as Spotlight or the Apple Sync Services. It connects to Mail to link email messages to the contacts.

Contactizer is available as a universal binary for Intel and PowerPC compatibility.

Contactizer Pro personal information management features include an address book, a task list, an event manager with a calendar view, and a communication module to manage emails and other communications (faxes, phone calls, documents).

Contactizer Pro allows collaborative contact, task and event (calendar) management using Bonjour network technology. Each user can share his data on the network and password protect its remote edition.

Several extra features have been added along each release:

  • integrated geocoding or addresses via Google Maps and Yahoo Maps to locate contacts
  • integrated white and yellow pages to complete contact information
  • in v3.5, project management was added to the list of features. 3.5.1 bring Leopard (Mac OS X 10.5) compatibility. 3.7.5 is said to be the last Contactizer version compatible with Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger). Since 3.8.0 Contactizer is compatible with Mac OS X 10.5 and 10.6 "Snow Leopard"

Before September 2006, the application was called OD4Contact.

Currently, Contactizer is not supported anymore. The last upgrade released made the software Mountain Lion compatible. There have not been any updates for Mavericks or Yosemite. Customer service has become unreachable and, unless customers are still running Lion or Mountain Lion, the product is prone to constant crashes on Apple's latest operating systems.
