Constructions industrielles de la Méditerranée

Constructions industrielles de la Méditerranée S.A. (CNIM, former name: Constructions navales et industrielles de la Méditerranée) is a French engineering company. It is a successor of a shipbuilding company Société Nouvelle des Forges et Chantiers de la Méditerranée. CNIM provides turnkey industrial solutions in environment, systems innovation and energy. It constructs industrial plants, including waste-to-energy plants, flue gas treatment systems, waste and water treatment plants, missile launchers, and modular and motorized pontoon bridges.

It was formerly a manufacturer of escalators and passenger conveyors for Metros and Airports, primarily in French speaking markets. A number of CNIM escalators are installed on the London Underground system as well as Hong Kong's Mass Transit Railway. Thirty CNIM escalators in the Paris Metro system, installed in 2006-2007, were to be replaced by 2015 because they were built 10cm too wide, according to RATP Group, the operator of the stations.

Its subsidiary CNIM Babcock Services repairs and maintains industrial boilers and household waste treatment plants, while another subsidiary Babcock Wanson develops industrial boilers, and air and water treatments. Its main shareholder is Compagnie Nationale de Navigation with a 20.78% stake.
