Conscript Academic Officer (Norwegian: Vernepliktig akademisk befal (VAB)) is an arrangement by the Norwegian Military where academics within different professions (doctors, psychologists, pharmacists, dentists etc.) serve their conscription after completing their education. They will then receive lieutenant ranking when they start their military service.
