Coach Trip 5 was the fifth series of Coach Trip in the United Kingdom which was filmed from May until June 2010 (after the Iceland volcanic ash cloud shrunk) and aired from 30 August to 8 October 2010. The show's format changed slightly from previous series and with weekends included, from Day 2 of that the couple who received a yellow card the previous day would be immune from the following vote the next day. The series involves seven couples traveling on a one-month tour centering on Northern European countries for the first time, with visits to Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. Tour guide Brendan Sheerin, coach driver Paul Donald and the MT09 MTT registration all returned for this series, which airs on Channel 4. Dave Vitty was the narrator for the first time and the airing time moved from 5:00pm to 5:30pm.

    Day 2 - Amsterdam

It's day two and the group arrive in Amsterdam. After touring the city's canals by pedalo they learn the exotic art of burlesque dancing. At the vote Brendan drops a bombshell when he unexpectedly changes the rules of the vote.

    Day 3 - Rural (Netherlands)/North Germany part 1

The coach heads for "rural Holland" (actually not in Holland at all) on day three for a life drawing class in Vincent van Gogh's house. And the trippers' artistic 'talent' leaves Brendan crying with laughter.

Day 4 - North Germany part 2 (Bremen)

The tourists head to Bremen. But on arrival a dramatic emergency call is made after one passenger falls ill, resulting in an unexpected early departure from the trip. However, the numbers are soon bolstered by some lively new arrivals.

Day 5 - North Germany part 3 (Hamburg)

In Hamburg it's day five and some familiar faces rejoin the group. After a visit to a submarine, it's all out conflict between two couples at vote time.

    Day 6 - Gothenburg

    Day 7 - Jönköping

The coach arrives in Jonkoping, Sweden, where Brendan's plans for a synchronised swimming lesson are dashed as the pool is closed, so the icy local lake beckons instead...

    Day 8 - Norrköping

Amanda loses her precious diamond ring. And, in some Swedish woods, the group has a lesson in mind over matter, but the fire-walking experience leaves some of the party cold.

    Day 9 - Stockholm

As the tour rolls in to Stockholm, goth rockers - and ex-partners - Chris and Lauren join the travellers. But the day's sightseeing is forgotten in a shocking moment of real-life drama.

    Day 18 - Kaunas

Day 18, in Kaunas, Lithuania, brings more new arrivals, a disastrous traditional cookery lesson and a spectacularly unsuccessful raft-building session.

    Day 19 - Curonian Spit

Yet more new arrivals climb on board at Curonian Spit in Lithuania.

It's not long before everyone's getting stuck into the locals' traditional work: gutting and smoking fish - which causes plenty of commotion among the tourists.

The afternoon is due to be spent blow-carting - except there's no wind - and, at the vote, there's all-out war between two couples.
