Clyde is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) located in Franklin Township, in Somerset County, New Jersey, United States. As of the 2010 United States Census, the CDP's population was 213.

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, Clyde had a total area of 0.383 square miles (0.993 km2), all of which was land.

Census 2010

The 2010 United States Census counted 213 people, 73 households, and 64.02 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 555.8 per square mile (214.6/km2). The CDP contained 73 housing units at an average density of 190.5 per square mile (73.6/km2). The racial makeup of the CDP was 65.73% (140) White, 28.17% (60) Black or African American, 0.00% (0) Native American, 6.10% (13) Asian, 0.00% (0) Pacific Islander, 0.00% (0) from other races, and 0.00% (0) from two or more races. Hispanics or Latinos of any race were 4.23% (9) of the population.

Out of a total of 73 households, 37.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 74.0% were married couples living together, 9.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 12.3% were non-families. 11.0% of all households were made up of individuals, and 2.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.92 and the average family size was 3.14.
