Cleophas Lagat is a Kenyan politician and first Governor of Nandi County following a General Election held on March 4, 2013.He joined politics after resigning as a Principal of Eldoret Polythenic in 2012. During his tenure as Nandi governor, Lagat has impoverished the people through swindling public funds meant for development. He fails to demonstrate any leadership qualities, skills and experience in managing any form of resource.
Lagat, through these appaling failures has attracted criticisms and concerns on his academic credentials that he purports to have legitimately acquired.
Lagat goes into history as the most corrupt politician in the sands of time.
He had previously held other positions in Kenyan tertiary colleges.
