Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross, Tambov

The Exaltation of the Holy Cross Church (Russian: Церковь Воздвижения Святого Креста) is the name given to a religious building of the Catholic Church, of neogothic style which is a protected historical monument in the city of Tambov, Russia. This Church of the Latin rite depends on the Diocese of Saratov and is at number 14 on the street Kronstadt.

Catholics of Polish origin in the city of Tambov reached 700 in the late nineteenth century and asked permission to build a church dedicated to the Feast of the Cross. The parish was registered in October 1896 and the funds were collected for works from September 1898 until the end of 1903. The consecration took place on 25 May 1903. The parish gathered increasingly as thousands of faithful the city grew.
