History

The church is medieval. It was restored by George Gilbert Scott in 1845 and 1846 with further work by W. D. Caroe in 1912.

Features

The lychgate of 1881 was designed by Frank Miles, son of Robert Miles, rector.

Bells

There are eight bells in the tower. The largest is 15.5 cwt.

Organ

An organ was installed in 1859 built by Bryceson and Son of London. It was opened on Thursday 15 September 1859.
