Christopher E. Kubasik is President and Chief Operating Officer of L3 Technologies, a global aerospace and national security company with 2016 sales of $10.5 billion that employs approximately 38,000 people worldwide. In this position, he is responsible for leading the execution of L3’s strategic growth objectives, including optimizing performance, increasing market positions, strengthening customer relationships and delivering value to all stakeholders. On July 19, 2017, the L3 Board elected Kubasik to the position of CEO and President, and to the Board of Directors effective January 1, 2018.

Kubasik joined L3 in October 2015. He has more than 30 years of experience in the aerospace and defense (A&D) industry. Prior to joining L3, he was President and Chief Executive Officer of the Seabury Advisory Group LLC, a leading aviation and A&D professional services firm. In 2010, he was named President and COO of Lockheed Martin Corporation, where he also held a number of senior executive and finance roles. On November 9, 2012, Bob Stevens, Lockheed Martin Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, asked for and received Chris Kubasik's resignation as a result of an ethics investigation that confirmed Chris had a close, personal relationship with a subordinate employee. Before joining Lockheed, Kubasik enjoyed a successful career at Ernst & Young, where he was named Partner in 1996.

He is currently a Vice President of the Board of Governors of The Wings Club Foundation, Inc. He also serves on the University of Maryland Board of Trustees. Kubasik previously served on the boards of International Paper Company and Lockheed Martin Corporation, and was on the Marsico Investment Fund Board of Trustees and the USO Board of Governors. He is also a member of the Aerospace Industries Association (AIA), the Air Force Association (AFA), the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA), the Navy League of the United States, and the Association of the United States Army (AUSA).

Kubasik earned his bachelor’s degree (Magna Cum Laude) in accounting from the University of Maryland’s School of Business in 1983. In 1997, he attended the Executive Program at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Business. In 2004, he completed the Systems Acquisition Management Course for Flag Officers at the Defense Acquisition University, Fort Belvoir. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.

He previously served as Lockheed Martin’s Executive Vice President of the Electronic Systems Business Area (ESBA) in 2008, Chief Financial Officer and, prior to that, Vice President and Controller, positions he had held since November 1999. In his CFO and Controller capacities, his team included tax, contracts, government finance, planning, accounting and reporting, international financial operations, financial shared services and independent cost estimating.
