Profiles

Christopher Aaron Jones (born September 19, 1988) is an American professional baseball pitcher in the Baltimore Orioles organization.

Jones graduated from Gaither High School in Tampa, Florida. The Cleveland Indians selected him in the 15th round, with the 467th overall selection, of the 2007 MLB Draft. After playing for the Atlanta Braves organization, the Braves traded Jones to the Baltimore Orioles on April 10, 2013, in exchange for Luis Ayala. After the season, the Orioles added Jones to their 40-man roster to protect him from being selected by another team in the Rule 5 draft. He was designated for assignment in February, and released. He was then re-signed to a minor league contract on March 3, 2014.

On March 29, 2016, the Orioles traded Jones to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim for Natanael Delgado and Erick Salcedo. He began the 2016 season with the Salt Lake Bees of the Class AAA Pacific Coast League. The Angels promoted Jones to the major leagues on May 30, 2016.

On February 28, 2017, Jones signed a minor league deal with the Baltimore Orioles.
