Education

After serving in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division, Drake attended the University of North Texas and graduated in 2001 with a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a concentration in finance.

In 2013, the university selected Drake to receive its Distinguished Young Alumni Award.

Career

While serving in the military, Drake built some of the first secure websites for the U.S. Army.

After college, Drake founded TargetScope, an interactive marketing and web development company.

In 2009, he started Armor (then known as FireHost) with his own money. Under Drake’s leadership, the company has grown quickly, attracting $59 million in funding and doubling its revenue for three consecutive years. It now has roughly 200 employees and operates five data centers around the globe.

In 2013, Drake was recognized as one of the Dallas Business Journal’s “40 Under 40.” He was also honored as the Emerging Company CEO of the year by the Metroplex Technology Business Council.
