Christopher Lyle Cooper (born December 27, 1977) is a former American football defensive lineman. He was drafted by the Oakland Raiders in the sixth round of the 2001 NFL Draft. He played college football at Nebraska-Omaha.

Cooper is a former a member of the Dallas Cowboys, San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, Arizona Cardinals, and California Redwoods.

Professional career

He was selected by the Oakland Raiders in the sixth round (184th overall) in the 2001 NFL Draft. He was traded to the Dallas Cowboys on September 11, 2004 for a conditional draft choice (not exercised). He was waived from the Cowboys on November 3, 2004.

The San Francisco 49ers signed him in the 2004 offseason. After a brief stint with the Seattle Seahawks, Cooper signed with the Arizona Cardinals. He was released on February 21, 2008 by the Cardinals.

The Seattle Seahawks re-signed Cooper to a one-year deal for the 2008 season. The Raiders signed Cooper on April 6, 2010. The Raiders released Cooper on September 4, 2010.
