Chintapalle or Chintapalli is a town and a mandal in Visakhapatnam district in the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Chintapalli is a famous tourist destination in the state of Andhra Pradesh. It is one of the major towns in the Visakhapatnam district. Chintapalli is also historically prominent due to the Rampa Rebellion lead by Alluri Sitarama Raju against the British in 1922. Chintapalli's Police Station was the first one to be attacked by the Revolutionaries during the freedom struggle.Chintapalli is considered to be the headquarters of the agricultural and commercial crops market. Chintapalli is a very famous town in both the telugu speaking states Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.Every year lakhs of tourists from various parts of the country come here during winters. The temparature in this area falls down to almost minus 2 degrees some times. Tourists come here to enjoy the bone biteing cold winter nights and early morning snow fall. Sunlight is seen only after 10 a.m and the daytime sun lights are almost very short. It is an undescribable experience walking in the mornings.

It has an average elevation of 839 meters (2755 feet). It is 132 km from Visakhapatnam and 19 km from Andhra's Karshmir Lammasingi (Lambasingi).The highest point in Eastern Ghats is also in Chintapalli.
