Long title An Act to make provision as regards contact with children; to make provision as regards family assistance orders; to make provision about risk assessments; to make provision as regards adoptions with a foreign element; and for connected purposes. Territorial extent England and Wales, except that sections 9 to 11, 12(1) to (5) and (7), 16 and 17 also extend to Northern Ireland and the amendment or repeal of an enactment has the same extent as the enactment to which it relates.

The Children and Adoption Act 2006 (c 20) is an Act of the Parliament of the United Kingdom.
