Dawa Sherpa (born Chhang Dawa Sherpa; July 30, 1982), nicknamed "Dawa Sherpa", is a Nepalese mountaineer and the youngest mountaineer to summit the 14 highest peaks. Dawa and his brother Mingma Sherpa together hold the world record as "first brothers to summit the 14 highest peaks", a single record shared by the two.

Early life

Channg Dawa Sherpa was born and grew up in the rural village of Narbuchaur in Makalu Village of Sankhuwasabha District in Nepal.

Dawa first reached the summit of Cho-Oyu (8201 m) in 2000 autumn. The brothers followed their passion of climbing and have climbed all the fourteen highest mountains through their personal expenses, without any funding. In order to do so however, they had to take a break from the mountains and head to Japan. Here, they worked hard to earn money for their families and to further their climbing dreams. Mr. Chhang Dawa Sherpa & his brother Mr. Mingma Sherpa has kept world record of  "Worlds First Two Brothers" successfully summit 14 Mountains of the world which are 8000 meter height. This is an single record in the worlds mountaineering history.
