Dr. Cherian Kuniyanthodathu is a Carmelites of Mary Immaculate (CMI) priest, poet, drama writer, music director and author of many books.

Works

His books include:

A thesis on the German missionary Rev. Dr. Hermann Gundert (Stuttgart, 4 February 1814 – 25 April 1893 in Calw, Germany) who was a German missionary and scholar, who compiled a Malayalam grammar book, Malayalabhaasha Vyakaranam (1859), the first Malayalam-English dictionary (1872), and translated the Bible into Malayalam. He worked primarily at Tellicherry on the Malabar coast, in Kerala, India. Gundert also contributed to the fields of history, geography and astronomy.

Maha Kavyam "Thejomayan" is one of his famous works, "Mother Theressa Oru swandana Sparsam", "mulamthandu" etc. are his some of works/

He is also known as a poet and lyricist
