The Chendur Express is an Express train operated by Southern Railway zone of Indian railways. This train runs between Thiruchendur and Chennai Egmore. It is a daily overnight service and an important train of Thiruchendur - Tirunelveli line. It is one of the fastest trains in this region. This train runs through the main line via Tambaram, Chengalpet, Villupuram, Thirupadiripuliyur, Chidambaram, Sirkazhi, Mayiladuturai Jn, Kumbakonam, Papanasam, Tanjore, Trichy, Dindigul, kodaikanal road, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Satur, Kovilpatti, Tirunelveli, seydunganallur, srivaikuntam, Nazareth, kurumbur, Arumuganeri, kayalpattinam and Thiruchendur. As per the numbering convention of Indian Railways, this train is allotted a number -16106 for the journey between Trichendur and Chennai and 16105 for journey between Chennai and Thiruchendur.
