Chen Youben (c. 19th century) was a 14th generation descendant and 6th generation master of the famed Chen Family and considered to be an influential martial artist and teacher of taijiquan (t'ai chi ch'uan).

Chen Youben was a contemporary of Chen Changxing and yet they are said to have practiced different variations of the Chen Family's traditional martial arts, which alludes to a period of creativity and perhaps conflicting developments within the community at that time.

He is credited with the creation of the Xin Jia (New Frame) that is now known as the Xiao Jia (Small Frame) within the modern Chen Family routines. It is recorded that he passed his martial art to Chen Qingping who later carried out further developments creating a style that is now known as Zhaobao taijiquan.
