Chen Ping is a Chinese entrepreneur, academic, Chairman of Tidetime Group, Ted Sun and Sun Media Group. and the managing director of Oriental Pearl Petroleum

Early life

After graduating from Anhui Mechanical and Electrical Engineering College, Chen Ping worked as a technician and senior researcher for a transformer factory in Wuhu, Anhui, and for the Shanghai Machinery Manufacturing Technology Research Institute, the Shanghai Science Institute, the Shanghai Science and Technology, Economic, Social and Strategic Studies Center, and the CITIC International Institute. In 1990, he founded Tidetime Group and settled in Hong Kong in 1997. In 2001, he took over Sun TV (Hong Kong), acclaimed "Sunshine Current Affairs" and in 2015 he began to get involved in the internet financial sector, mainly working on isuncrowd and isuncloud projects.

Sun TV

In 2005, Cheng Ping became head of Sun TV, also working there as Multi-File Program Host. Sun TV is now separate from the official Chinese world religious system and is the only system still surviving in mainstream television media. Sun TV became the world's only Chinese "culture, history, and geography" documentary and feature film production company, and the world's only Chinese "culture, history, geography, politics, finance, and economics" production company for documentaries, feature films, talk shows, and satellite television theme channels.

Programming

  • Chinese Human Geography, opening with a map of China, this program focuses on the five thousand year evolution of China as a people and culture.
  • Sunshine Commentary, a commentary covering current affairs, finance, and culture, and featuring domestic and foreign commentators, thoughtful economists, cultural scholars and entrepreneurs as guests.
  • Liyan's, a program focusing on promoting and popularizing the development of free speech and opinion and dealing with concerns about its social impact.
  • Sunshine Bookstore, a forum for open thought, without taboos.
  • View of the World, a current affairs travel program designed to transcend time and space, giving tours of the civilizations of the world.
  • Witnessed, presenting stories narrated from different viewpoints which are stitched together to present a more accurate version of the truth.
  • Figures, a program which gives a taste of world-class politics, economics, and culture of celebrity life experiences.

    • Isun Affairs Magazine

    In 2011 he founded Isun Affairs Magazine, Hong Kong's first all-electronic media when published. It breaks through the traditional media time and space limitations with graphic, audio and video media combined, containing technology, content, aesthetic. It caused a sensation among Hong Kong readers, and once led the release of the same name in print publications.

    Guiding Philosophy

    • Attack by Two Assailants

    On about the 3rd of June, 2013 at 6 pm, Chen Ping in Chai Wan One, at the new Owen Center on Yip Street, was ambushed by two men, about 30 years old, according to police reports. Both men were armed with sticks and struck Chen on the head. Chen was subsequently sent to Eastern Hospital. On June 5, Chan held a press conference about the incident, stating that the two assailants did not say anything, so he couldn't discern an accent, nor could he discern a motive, but was still suffering from tinnitus as a result. Police also quoted Chen Ping, and said the assailants planned an escape route to deliberately evade security cameras.
