Charles Ritchie

Charles Buchan Ritchie, born on 22 October 1947, is a Scottish businessman. He was born and raised in the fishing village of St Combs, Aberdeenshire, Scotland.

Charles was educated at St Combs primary school, then at Fraserburgh Academy which he left school at age 15 with no formal qualifications.

Charles served a 5 year engineering apprenticeship at the Consolidated Pneumatic Tool Company in Fraserburgh, while attending Banff and Buchan College of Further Education, and Robert Gordon's institute in Aberdeen.

In 1982, Charles Ritchie formed the company which was later to become the Score Group plc, a multi-national group of engineering companies.

The book "It's A Newton" was written and published by Mr Ritchie to portray his views on the concept of force.
