Charles J. Orlando is the author of The Problem with Women... is Men: The Evolution of a Man's Man to a Man of Higher Consciousness, and The Problem with Women... is Men Vol. 2: A Social Media Memoir. His undercover investigation as a "cheating husband" on AshleyMadison.com made the homepage of MSN.com: and was optioned for a feature film. After the Ashley Madison data breach Orlando wrote that even though his wife already knew he had an account on the site to investigate the people who use it, he felt anxiety at the content of sexually explicit messages he sent being exposed in a way that would humiliate their children. He argued that it is alarming that "the mob that is the Internet is more than willing to serve as judge, jury, and executioner" to users of the site, and that cheaters "don’t deserve a flogging in the virtual town square with millions of onlookers" and that online shaming would lead to public humiliation of users of the site.
