Chardon Lakes Golf Course is located in Chardon, a city in Geauga County, Ohio

Chardon Lakes Golf Course opened in 1931 with 9 original holes designed by Bert Way, who also designed Firestone North and Mayfield Country Club. In 1963 the "new" nine opened, designed by Don Tincher and Carroll Bazler. Mr. Tincher, the current Pro Emeritus, has been at Chardon Lakes since 1950. In the early seventies he hosted American Cancer Society Benefits that included appearances by Jack Nicklaus and Arnold Palmer. Nicklaus' score of 67 from the back tees still stands as the course record.

Course distances vary according to tee boxes, the tips measure to 6,800 yards (6,200 m) and golfers who play from these tees enjoy a scenic challenge. The golf course is designed for all golfers however; several tee options provide playability for all skill levels. Winding through 120 acres (0.49 km2) of mature trees, ambling creeks and several ponds, players enjoy a classically designed and scenic course. Along with 43 sand traps and water in play on 11 of the 18 holes; the most talked about features are the large, sloped and quick greens. General Manager is Tom Bond Golf course superintendent John Pustai
