The Certified Health Informatics Systems Professional (CHISP) is a professional certification accrediting individuals in the health information technology (HIT) profession. The CHISP certification is offered by the American Society of Health Informatics Managers (ASHIM) for candidates who demonstrate skills in the following core competencies: clinical, communications, compliance/legal considerations, health informatics, information analysis, medical administrative operations, and technology. Its Industry Advisory Board is made up of 12 professionals who are experts in the healthcare and technology industry.
