Cerconota bathyphaea is a moth in the Depressariidae family. It was described by Edward Meyrick in 1932. It is found in Panama.

The wingspan is 22-25 mm. The forewings are brown, infuscated towards the base and along the costa. There are three very vague and obscure fuscous transverse shades, hardly defiĀned, the first at about one-third, slightly curved, somewhat oblique, the second from about the middle of the costa to three-fourths of the dorsum, darkest and broadest on the costal half, hardly traceable below, the third from the costa at three-fourths to the dorsum before the tornus, forming an obscure triangular expansion on the costa, beneath more linear, excurved on the median third, sometimes an obscure darker discal dot on the second shade. The terminal edge is suffused fuscous. The hindwings are brownish-grey.
