Background

Central Catholic was established in 1966. The first year of its existence had only a freshmen class, with each subsequent year adding a new class until its first graduating class of Seniors in 1970. From its inception the school has maintained a high academic standard with many of its graduates attending and attaining college degrees. The school is also well known for its football program and basketball program who recorded a record of 38–1 in league between the years 1999–2003. Sports offered at the school include football, basketball, baseball, softball, volleyball, cross country, soccer, golf, swimming, tennis, water polo, wrestling, track, and cheerleading.
