The Center for Work-Life Policy (CWLP) is a New York City-based think tank that undertakes research and works with employers to design, promote, and implement workplace policies that increase productivity and enhance personal/family well-being and general work-life balance. The CWLP is committed to promoting policies that enable individuals to realize their full potential across the divides of gender, race and class.

The CWLP holds that many corporations in today's economy want to better retain and utilize the potential of female and minority professionals. According to the CWLP, workplace policies that address the work-life challenge can benefit the lives of working parents and the lives of their children and simultaneously promote workplace retention, diversity and productivity, thereby improving the bottom line. Studies conducted by the CWLP have been published in the Harvard Business Review and are available in a book authored by Sylvia Ann Hewlett titled Off-Ramps and On-Ramps: Keeping Talented Women on the Road to Success (Harvard Business Review Press, 2007).
