Cemu is a video game console emulator for the Wii U that runs on Windows. Created by two people, Exzap and Petergov, the first version, 1.00, was released on October 13, 2015 Typically, Exzap updates the emulator once every two to four weeks, with Patreon supporters are able to get the latest version a week earlier than the public release. Though it is still under development, it can run a handful of Wii U games smoothly. So far, it is the only eighth generation console emulator in existence, since the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One have not been reverse-engineered yet.
