Releases

Catching Flies first came to prominence in October 2012, when his remix of Mt. Wolf's track "Life Size Ghosts" began to get hundreds of thousands of hits on YouTube and he got praise from scores of music blogs. Consequently, the track raced to the number one spot on the Hype Machine.

This was followed by the release of his first EP, The Stars, which included 3 tracks of original music, plus the Mt. Wolf remix. The EP was released by Catching Flies for free on Bandcamp and received thousands of downloads.

Support from blogs continued and official remix requests from labels like Virgin EMI Records and Ram Records (UK) started to come through.

June 2013 saw the release of The Long Journey Home EP, again comprising three original tracks and one remix. This was self-released through his own label, Indigo Soul, on Bandcamp. Both EPs were officially released on iTunes in November 2013.

Catching Flies collaborated with vocalist and producer Ifan Dafydd in August 2013 on the track "Don't Know How" which was released via Bandcamp as part of Push & Run's Tings in Boots Volume 2 compilation.

It is likely that some new original Catching Flies material is on the horizon, as in April 2014, Bonobo included the as-yet unreleased Catching Flies track 'Mama's Wisdom' in his Essential Mix on BBC Radio 1.

Performances

Catching Flies has played a number of DJ shows throughout Europe over the past two years, including at Soundwave Festival in Croatia. He has done online mixes for the likes of Earmilk, Oki-Ni and Mixmag.

In March 2014 he debuted his new solo live show as the support act on Bonobo's European Tour, playing to audiences of thousands. At around this time he also joined the Primary Talent Agency, on Michael-Harvey Bray's roster.
