History
Founded in 2004 by M. Arun Kumar and KR Anerudan, Casa Grande Private Limited was primarily funded by Fulcrum Ventures with a seed capital of Rs 5 crore invested in tranches between 2004 and 2006. This initial stake was bought out in 2012 by the promoters by paying Rs. 50 crores, ten times the initial investment.
Recently, in May 2014, Mumbai-based PE fund, Avenue Venture Real estate fund (AVREF) announced that it plans to invest up to Rs 100 crore in equity in Casa Grande, out of which Rs. 53 crore has already been invested over 2 investments.
Lately, the company has launched two new businesses - PropCare and Do My Home, to provide end-to-end solutions for customers. In August 2015, it has also diversified into warehousing with the launch of a 100-acre project called Casa Grande Distripark, to cater to a wide range of businesses including automotive, industrial, retail, healthcare and e-commerce.
