Carpenter Nunatak (73°37′S 61°15′E) is an isolated nunatak between Mount Mather and the Mount Menzies massif in the southern Prince Charles Mountains. It was plotted from the summit of Mount Menzies by an Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions dog-sledge party in 1961, and named by the Antarctic Names Committee of Australia for G.D.P. Smith, the carpenter at Mawson Station, 1961.
