Carlos Eduardo Salazar Paz (born 1 July 1981) is a Colombian football midfielder, who currently plays for Unión Magdalena. He has played for teams of Colombia, Costa Rica, Venezuela, Chile, Iran and United States.

Club career

After of play for Colo-Colo in Chile, Salazar played for several teams in Colombia as Deportivo Cali, Deportivo Pasto, Cortuluá, Deportivo Pereira, Atlético Bucaramanga and Atlético Huila and spent time in Costa Rica and Venezuela.

Colo-Colo

On 1 February 2008, Salazar was signed of emergency by Colo-Colo for replace to his countrymen Giovanni Hernández and also momentarily replace to Macnelly Torres, who will arrive to the team on midly year for also replace to Gio.

He made his league debut with the club against Universidad de Concepción as a starter, scoring the only goal of match at 42nd minute for shortly after being substituted in the 46th minute by José Pedro Fuenzalida. Salazar made his first appearance for the Copa Libertadores with the team in a 3–0 away defeat against Atlas and also played his first derby with the club against Unuversidad Católica. He again to score after three matches, in a 5–1 away win against Unión Española at Talca.

Salazar maintained his performance in the club, but with the departure of coach Claudio Borghi and the arrival of Fernando Astengo, he was not considered for the team, being criticized for his poor performances in the games.

Mes Rafsanjan

After of his regular pass in Chile, then returned to Venezuela for play in Aragua and shortly after he returned to his country for play in Atlético Huila. During 2009, he was on trial in Real Salt Lake of the Major League Soccer and he nearly joined to the club, but was not able to pass the test. In June of the same year, Salazar completed his move to the Iranian Second Division side Mes Rafsanjan. He has played 15 matches (League and Hafzi Cup) and scored 13 goals and assists some goals for others.

Mes Kerman

After his regular pass in Rafsanjan, He has signed 2-year contract with Sanat Mes Kerman FC a primer league of Iran but was fired from club on 22 December 2011.

Fort Lauderdale Strikers

On 25 March 2013 the Fort Lauderdale Strikers announced that Carlos Salazar had signed a professional contract with the club following a successful preseason with the Strikers.

Unión Magdalena

Salazar signed with Unión Magdalena after mutually terminating his contract with Fort Lauderdale.
