Canopy is a language translation software used primarily by hospitals and clinics to communicate with LEP's, limited English proficiency, or non-English speaking patients. Through innovation funding and grants from the National Institutes of Health, Canopy was launched in 2010 by CEO and founder Jerrit Tan. In September 2016, Mike Cullinan was named as the Canopy Innovations CEO.

Headquartered in New York, NY, adapters of its software include Duke University, University of Pennsylvania and UNC Health Care.
