Not to be confused with Campo de O'Donnell, which had same name and it was situated 200 meters away on the same bulevard.

Atletico Madrid moved from Tiro del Pichón in 1913 on the same street with the Real Madrid stadium, on the main bulevard called Calle de O'Donnell.

The inaugural match was on the February 9, 1913 with the parent club Athletic Bilbao who won with a 4-0 victory for the Basque.
