The Campeonato Carioca lower levels are the football tournaments for the Rio de Janeiro clubs that do not play in the Campeonato Carioca First Division. The competitions are organized by the Rio de Janeiro State Football Federation. Usually, the champions of a division are promoted in the next year to the immediately upper level.
