Callixte Kalimanzira

Callixte Kalimanzira was the Interior Minister of the interim government of Rwanda during the 1994 genocide. .

Kalimanzira was indicted by the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda for his actions during the genocide in 2005 on three counts: genocide, complicity in Genocide and direct and public incitement to commit genocide; he pleaded not guilty. On June 22, 2009, Kalimanzira was sentenced to thirty years in prison for two counts of genocide and direct and public incitement to commit genocide. Full record of the case can be found at the ICTR.
