Tiny comic books & Mardi Gras

Caesar Meadows (born November 6, 1968) is an American cartoonist whose monthly comic strip Mumbeaux Gumbo in the New Orleans magazine Where Y'at ran from August 2001 to August 2011. His other monthly comic strip Qomix has been published in Antigravity magazine since 2005. He is also the current comic editor for the magazine.

He likes to reformat his comic strips as special-edition micro-comics which he then gives out to people during Mardi Gras. He also sells them in capsule vending machines in select locations around New Orleans.

He is the current president of the New Orleans Krewe of 'tit Rex, a micro carnival street parade where the floats are shoebox sized and the throws are tiny and handmade.

In 2010, Caesar edited and released the first issue of "FEAST yer eyes," a New Orleans Illustration & Comix tabloid newspaper anthology featuring the work of several crescent city cartoonists.

In 2014, he created and hand-assembled 30,840 custom designed micro-comic throws for the New Orleans all women Krewe of Muses carnival parade.

In 2015, he was invited to become a member of the Antenna gallery collective located in the Saint Claude arts district of New Orleans.

Caesar used to operate Jigsaw Junction, an archive of comics, in Reserve, Louisiana.
