Cadmogenes is a genus of moths of the family Plutellidae. It contains only one species, Cadmogenes literata, which is found in New Zealand.

The wingspan is 15–17 mm. The forewings are usually dull crimson, speckled with dark grey and marbled and strigulated with pale ochreous-yellowish, but may also be purple-fuscous, dotted and strigulated with white. The hindwings are pale grey.

The larvae feed on the flowers of Caldcluvia and Weinmannia species. There is one generation per year.

Taxonomy

The genus was described in the Plutellidae family, but is considered an enigmatic unplaced genus (along with the genus Titanomis) and may require its own family.
