Cabo Tamar oil spill

On 7 June 1978 ran aground at San Vicente Bay, near Talcahuano, Chile, the Chilean Oil tanker Cabo Tamar and released 12,000 tons of oil (of the 64,000 ton load).

(Cabo Tamar self is a peninsula at the west entrance of the Strait of Magellan)
