The CCGS Ernest Lapointe, built in 1940, was a long time vessels serving in the Canadian Coast Guard (CCG) Fleet at 38 years.
Remaining operational for 38 years, the Ernest Lapointe was finally decommissioned in 1978. The vessel now serves as a museum ship for the Maritime Museum of Quebec.
