Burt–Cheney Farm

Location

US 302, Bethlehem, New Hampshire

The Burt–Cheney Farm is a historic farmstead on United States Route 302 in Bethlehem, New Hampshire. The main farm house is a rare early Cape style house, whose oldest part was built c. 1810 by Simeon Burt, one of the first settlers in the area. The building was expanded by Burt in 1817 to achieve the main block's present center-chimney appearance. A stone wall lines the property along the road, and there are several outbuildings, some of which date to earliest days of the farm's settlement. The farmstead was separated from the bulk of its associated lands by the construction of Interstate 93.
