Burckhalter (also, Burkhalter) is a former settlement in Nevada County, California. Burkhalter was located 2 miles (3.2 km) southeast of Boca.
A post office operated at Burckhalter from 1891 to 1896. The name commemorates Walter Burckhalter, the first postmaster.
