Buddleja marrubiifolia 'Presidio' is an American cultivar selection made purely for its relative cold-hardiness by the late Logan Calhoun.

Description

'Presidio' is identical to the species, likened to a cross between buddleja and Lamb's Ear, making a compact bush < 1.25 m high, with small, terminal, globose, orange inflorescences complemented by small, rounded, felted leaves.

Cultivation

'Presidio' is not known to be in cultivation beyond the southern USA. The species endemic to dry limestone slopes, good drainage is essential to the plant's survival. USDA zones 8–10.
