Buddleja davidii 'Violet Message' is a Dutch cultivar introduced to commerce in the USA by Dan Hinckley at his Heronswood Nursery in Kingston, Washington.

Description

'Violet Message' is described variously as a small plant growing to a height of only 1.2 m, and as a medium-sized shrub growing to 2.5 m. Both sources agree the 30 cm panicles are of bright violet flowers with yellow eyes.

Cultivation

'Violet Message' is not known to be in cultivation beyond the USA. Hardiness: USDA zones 6–9.
