Buddleja davidii 'SMBDVL' (selling name = Merry Magic Violet) is an American cultivar raised by the Spring Meadow Nursery Inc. of Grand Haven, Michigan, and introduced to commerce in 2012.[1] Patent has been applied for. [2]

Description
Merry Magic Violet reaches a height and width of 2.5 metres (8.2 ft) by 2.5 metres (8.2 ft), and bears long, <0.6 metres (2.0 ft) terminal panicles of plum purple flowers. The shrub is reputedly to have a low seed set, rendering it less invasive than the species.[3]
