Bucculatrix diffusella is a moth in the Bucculatricidae family. It was described by Menhofer in 1943. It is found in south-western France.
The larvae feed on Artemisia maritima. They mine the leaves of their host plant. The mine starts as a narrow corridor with much frass. The corridor ends into a blotch in the tip of a leaf segment. Older larvae leave the mine and start creating fleck mines. Larvae can be found from mid-July to August, possibly in two generations per year. Young larvae are honey yellow with a brown head. The older larvae are yellowish olive green with a brown head.
